The 2007 end of school field trip to the zoo was a special event for guests that are visiting with us in Skopje. The children were not the only ones who had a great time. We were so glad to have Carolyn Strickland, Joyce Gilbreath, and Mary Beth Gilbert with us.

They arrived safely, but after many more hours of airport time than they ever dreamed possible. Their flight was delayed in Dallas and did not get to Chicago in enough time to make their overseas connecting flight. They are now seasoned travels however. Lufthansa Airlines was very kind and helped them out in a very difficult situation. They arrived 7 hours later than planned and without their luggage (it is due in this afternoon - Saturday), but they have been very flexible, and all of the inconvenience has not kept them from completely enjoying every moment of this trip.

We had dinner together last night at our apartment, and are headed this morning to the mountain village of Gjorgjevic (about 30 minutes outside Gostivar where we lived before). After the visit in Gjorgjevic, we are going on a picnic with Agim & Habibe and their girls, Sara and Jehona, Brane & Margo and their children, Toshe and Maria. It should be another great day. The weather is beautiful again today.

I am posting pictures from the Zoo Trip so that those of you who are keeping up with Carolyn, Joyce and Mary Beth can see what they are up to. They are posted in several entries so that you know to look at all of them.
